No. of roses received = 0
No. love letters/cards read = 0
No. of chocolates eaten = 1 pack of flat tops [frankly, i have lost count]
No. of forwarded quotes received = 0
No. of stuffed toys received = 0
No. of hugs and kisses = 1 Hug from an officemate
No. of dates cancelled/rejected = 0
No. of wrists slashed = 0
Nothing much changed in the past 25 years of celebacy. Everything’s the same. No superficial profession of love. No malicious phone conversations and secret rendezvous. Harmless flirtation remains rated PG. Romantic hallucinations are at a minimum. The tendency to watch sappy romantic comedies have been reduced to zero.
Yep. We have reached a status of equilibrium at this point that the level of resentment and bitterness are directly proportional.
See, everything is simple when you’re single. No need to be burdened of the sudden inflation in the prices of flowers and other Valentine trinkets. Of course, if money is not a object to you then you’d invest in the effort and preparation of whatever fancy schmancy scheme you have in your lust or love-filled minds.
My advice is this. Spend your time and money wisely. Perhaps you’re waiting for a witty remark. I have none at this point.
I’m practically indifferent this year. BRB. Will listen to Chicago’s greatest hits.
