Don’t Wanna Be a Baryanaire

October 8, 2010

For anything else there is….ATM

Fact: I don’t own a credit card. For my own sake, I opted not to have one because of my impulsive-buying tendencies (like when I go extremely excited—-  say for instance, one time I was going gaga over the initial release of a  Dan Brown book ages ago. Only the hard bound copy is available. If I had a card, I would have swiped it in a heartbeat.  It would also happen if I’m extremely down, like when I found out one of my cats died or when Sarah G. and John Lloyd didn’t work their stuff out. I’d probably go on spending spree. So yeah, practically that’s why I don’t own a CC.

So what is the photo for? Let’s explain further shall we. The ones on the left are my payroll ATMs which means that:

1. Wow. I kept most of them. They’re all original. Never lost one, never broke one either. But they’re mostly empty now.

2. I worked for 3 different companies already and both uses Metrobank as their payroll bank partner (whatever you call that). Huh, interesting..

The ones on the right are my savings account ATM to which we can derive some important life lessons and shit like that:

1. Wow, why didn’t I just kept my Equitable PCI account and converted it to BDO— because that was possible. Answer: Uhmm.. Late realization. Plain and simple ignorance is bliss excuse. I suck, really.

2. Uhm, why didn’t I just used my Metrobank payroll acct instead of opening another savings acct using Metrobank??? Answer: Because again, I have impulsive tendencies. My earnings may just go down the drain if I continuously use the same atm for savings and payments. So I segregate my funds. The funny part was why’d I have to choose Metrobank again. Well, not that I have shared stocks with them or I get paid for this blatant advertisement (Yoohoo, please pay me. I need moneyz), it’s just that at that time it was the bank nearest to the place where I used to live….so yeah. I’m pretty much sloth personified.

3. Why BDO? Uhm, because they make ways???? Only the BDO one is my active savings account. My savings did save me from selling a kidney or two.

Now, I’m back to zero. And it’s kinda hard where to start. At 26, the pressure seems much much real. I shudder…I need to be more financially stable now that I’m raising (err…supporting) my Dad and my Grammy.

I love them dearly. It pains me that I am not always with them physically.  So yes to globalization and all that crappy crap that says I wanna make money!!! I want to be filthy rich so I can one day buy an island for my loved ones.

I will one day, set a sail to Tortuga.

I will be the Captain of my ship — La Pureza Negra

I will be the Master of my Soul???? No wait, I will someday conquer something….or someone…then I’d be able to rule the world!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA.

K. Back to the loony bin for now.
